Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Memphis, Tennessee (38104) – Tennessee nursing jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / Medical Surgical Overflow
• Start Dates: January 26, 2026 or February 9, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel assignment
• Shifts: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00); 36 or 48 hours/week
• Weekend Requirements: As needed
• On-Call: As needed
• Patient Ratio: 1:6/7
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC guidelines)
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac stepdown or acute care nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
• At least 1 completed previous travel nurse assignment
• Experience in large hospital and Level I Trauma Center required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Skills: Telemetry, IV Start, clinical support
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Pending licenses not accepted

RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and med-surg overflow patients
• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and complex conditions using bedside and telemetry equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy
• Participate in process improvements to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
• Float to similar units within a 20-mile radius as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies
