Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Augusta, GA 30901 (Georgia healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 14 weeks (Start: January 12, 2026 – End: April 20, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts per week (06:30 – 17:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Setting: Main Operating Room (General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, Colorectal)
- Call Requirements: 7-8 calls in a 6-week schedule, including 1 weekend call and 1-2 weekend shifts per contract
- Weekend Coverage: Average 2-3 weekend shifts per contract period
- Floating: Rare
- Scrub Color: Provided by facility
Operating Room RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or Compact State (required for Georgia nursing jobs)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
- BLS certification required
- Experience circulating and scrubbing in the OR (hard stop)
- Experience with Epic, Pyxis, and DaVinci XI Robots preferred
- Ability to provide clinical support for adult and geriatric patients
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Submit compliance documents and complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care for General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgeries
- Circulate and scrub in the main OR as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems for clinical documentation and medication management
- Participate in call rotation and provide weekend/holiday coverage
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical environment
