- Location: Louisville, KY 40215
- Job Type: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse
- Start Date: February 2, 2026
- End Date: May 4, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
- Weekly Hours: 36-40 hours guaranteed
- On-Call: 2 weekend calls per 24 days or 1 week of weekday night call (5pm-7am)
- Unit: 8-bed Operating Room, 1:1 patient ratio
- EMR System: Cerner
- Dress Code: Blue scrubs (surgical dress code compliance required)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
- Clinical experience in general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, ortho/spine, urology, GYN, vascular, or pain management procedures preferred
- Ability to float to other surgical service departments as needed
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Relevant nursing certifications preferred (BLS, ACLS, CNOR)
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care to surgical patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures: general, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, GYN, vascular, and pain management
- Maintain strict adherence to surgical protocols and sterile techniques
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
- Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR
- Support a positive, team-oriented healthcare environment
