- Location: Greenville, NC 27834 (Eastern North Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Facility: Cancer Center Surgical Oncology, 32-bed flex unit (intermediate and general care)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4 RN-to-patient
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling; 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Start Date: January 19, 2026
- End Date: April 21, 2026
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Compact nursing licenses accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical RN experience
- Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Must reside outside an 80-mile radius from Greenville, NC
- All requested time off must be approved prior to confirmation
Oncology Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to oncology and surgical patients in the PCU
- Provide clinical support for patients from specialties including ENT, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for oncology and surgical patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to areas of equal or lesser care as needed within the hospital
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
- Participate in self-scheduling and ensure coverage for required holidays and weekends
