ER RN Job Details – New York Healthcare Jobs

• Location: Utica, NY 13502 (Central New York)
• Job Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Unit: Emergency Department (64 beds: trauma, acute, super track, CDU, psych)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 19, 2026 – End: April 19, 2026)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York RN license (NURSYS verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience, including pediatric care
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Two recent ED Charge/Manager RN references
• Skills checklist matching ER specialty
• Valid driver’s license with matching address
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics in a fast-paced ER setting
• Respond to emergency situations: stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Demonstrate leadership and charge nurse skills as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
