Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details
- Location: Boston, MA 02115 (Longwood Medical Area)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse
- Unit: 12AB14AB Tower Medicine Stepdown Intermediate Care
- Start Date: January 12, 2026 (flexible to January 26, 2026)
- End Date: April 11, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, day/night rotation, every other weekend required
- On-Site Nursing Position
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Medical/Surgical, or Telemetry nursing
- BLS certification required
- Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience required
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and every other weekend
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and nursing interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about cardiac disease processes, procedures, and post-discharge care
- Accurately document all nursing care in compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
