Travel Nurse Job Details

• Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry (29 beds)
• Nursing Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia recognition and cardiac rhythm management
• Experience with telemetry monitoring systems
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system (preferred)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care to adults in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage IVs, PCA pumps, and telemetry equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members; participate in bedside care conferences and safety rounding
• Accurately document patient care using Meditech Expanse
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Maintain a professional appearance (no specific scrub color required)
