RN Job Details – Augusta Healthcare
- Location: Augusta, Georgia 30901
- Assignment Length: 12-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Renal Medical/Surgical (Med Surg 6)
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Average Census: 48 patients (49-bed unit)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Yes, as needed
- Charting System: Epic (required)
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand)
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience
- BLS certification (required)
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to manage 1:5-6 patient ratio
- Strong clinical skills in blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tubes, colostomy care, CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tube care, heparin, high flow nasal cannula, insulin, isolation precautions, IV management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, surgical drains, telemetry, wound care, and rapid response/code teams
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Availability to work required holidays during assignment
RN Responsibilities – Medical/Surgical Unit
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Renal Med/Surg setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient progress
- Document patient care activities accurately using Epic
- Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures
- Float to other hospital units as needed
- Work every other weekend and required holidays
- Collaborate with IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and other clinical support staff
