Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14621 (New York nursing jobs)
• Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele RN Float Unit)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/13/2026 – End: 4/14/2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00); option to request 4x12-hour shifts for approval
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN contract
• Orientation: Comprehensive orientation provided prior to start

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to float to various units as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility (travel nursing requirement)
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry float unit
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, administer oxygen therapy, and respond to rapid response/code teams
• Perform peripheral line care and management
• Implement isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management
• Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Float to different units as required to support hospital staffing needs
