ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Previous travel nurse experience highly preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Smoke/nicotine free workplace
• Former employees must have a minimum 5-year separation to be eligible

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate specialized ICU equipment
• Float to other hospital units as needed, based on experience and policy
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Provide compassionate support to patients and their families
• Adhere to hospital policies, The Joint Commission standards, and best nursing practices
