  • Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
  • Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend or fixed schedules (Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday) per agency needs
  • Call Requirements: No overnight call; occasional call back 2–4 times per month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active RN license (Maine or compact state)
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; home health experience preferred
  • Proficiency with EPIC and OASIS documentation systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team environment
  • Professional attire: business casual or scrubs (any color); no jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes

Homecare RN Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of 20–25 patients; perform 5–6 home visits daily
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult med-surg, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, GI, and GU patients in the home setting
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and care coordination
  • Perform skilled nursing procedures: IV therapy, tube feeds, wound care (VAC dressings, compression wraps), port access, ostomy care, chest tubes, catheter care, and lab draws (preferred skills)
  • Maintain timely and precise documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
  • Adapt to changing agency needs, including revisiting patients as required
  • Return all agency-issued equipment at assignment completion
