Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

ER RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Room
Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent conditions
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to hospital protocols
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Respond rapidly and effectively to emergencies and changing patient conditions
