Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a busy ER setting
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Room
Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical protocols
Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered
Monitor, document, and report patient status and progress
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
