ER RN Job Details – McKinney, TX

• Location: McKinney, Texas 75069
• Facility: 37-bed Level 2 Trauma Emergency Department
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/26/2026 – End: 4/27/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Strong clinical skills and patient communication abilities
• High energy, self-motivated, and team-oriented personality
• Experience with MediTech EMR preferred

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Level 2 Trauma ED
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 within assigned zone
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, techs, paramedics, and mid-shift staff
• Utilize GE Monitors and MediTech EMR for patient care and clinical documentation
• Float as needed to care for ED patients admitted to hospital holding in the Emergency Department
• Maintain compliance with unit guidelines, hospital policies, and healthcare regulations
