ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin 53158
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), First Floor
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shifts: Variable; 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00-19:00 or 19:00-07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Orientation: 8 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin or Compact RN license (required at submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Proficient in CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience preferred
• Must provide 2 supervisor references from the past year, including one from the most recent assignment
• Ability to float to IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit/stepdown) as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Cannot accommodate latex allergies

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Manage patients requiring advanced therapies, including CRRT, ventilator management, and vasoactive drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services)
• Float to IMCU (stepdown) as needed
• Document patient care using Epic EMR (preferred)
• Participate in emergency and rapid response situations
• Maintain infection prevention protocols and adhere to safety guidelines
• Provide patient and family education and support
