Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered RN license (Texas or compact state)
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
BLS certification (AHA required)
NRP certification preferred
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery
Monitor patient status and respond to emergent clinical situations
Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
