Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact eligible
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Proficient in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgeries
• Ability to take cardiac call one weekend per month and once per week
• BLS certification required

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the operating room, prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Support surgeons and surgical teams during procedures in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular specialties
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes during surgery
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility protocols
• Participate in cardiac call rotation as scheduled
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
