- Nursing Shift: 5x8-Hour Days (06:45 - 15:15)

- Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: 10-16
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
- Two supervisor references required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- First-time travel nurses accepted
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients during surgical procedures in the OR
- Assist with surgeries including GYN, general surgery, breast procedures, limb salvage, and foot/ankle procedures
- Participate in breast cancer reconstruction and special surgical procedures
- Administer blood products, monitor cardiac status, and respond to medical codes
- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
- Handle specimen labeling and universal protocol (time out) procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy)
- Document patient care using Cerner electronic charting system
