• Location: Harvey, IL 60426 (Chicago area)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (06:45 – 19:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg E4)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Type: Travel nursing contract

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• NIHSS certification (preferred)
• Epic charting experience (preferred)
• Ability to float to other hospital units
• COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Passing EKG strip test at orientation
• Two professional references (one direct supervisor/manager)
• Maximum 7 days requested time off during contract

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy Medical/Surgical unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide peripheral line care
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; utilize rapid response and code teams
• Provide oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
