Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Kalamazoo, MI (49007) – Michigan healthcare jobs
• Setting: Medical Surgical Float Pool (Med/Surg RN)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: January 26, 2026 (or January 12, 2026)
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Orientation: Must be available first 2 weeks for orientation

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid Michigan RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical Registered Nurse experience
• ACLS (AHA) and BCLS (AHA) certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Professional references required
• Open to first-year travel nurses

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Float between units including AU, OSU, GSU, NVU, CAR, GMU, AMU, EMCU, and CC for Med Surg/IMC overflow
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical diagnoses
• Manage patient ratios of 4-6:1, adapting to unit needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response, and interpretation services
• Accurately document patient care using the Epic electronic health record system
• Participate in required orientation and annual training modules
• Comply with holiday time-off guidelines (one holiday request per contract)
