New York Nursing Job Details

• Location: Bethpage, NY 11714 (Long Island healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Surgical Care Center – Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Dates: January 21, 2026 or December 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per week: 36 (option for 48 hours preferred)
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Orientation: 16 hours (subject to change based on nursing education availability)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license (required for New York nursing jobs)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Two supervisory clinical references (Charge RN references accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Preferred: Previous travel nurse assignment experience

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Participate in orientation and required nursing education modules
