Key Job Details – ICU Registered Nurse (Travel Assignment)

• Location: Alamosa, CO 81101 (Colorado healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 – 06:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed hours)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Yes, between main campus and sister facility (within 15 minutes)
• Scrub Color: Employee preference
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of Colorado or compact state)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
• Experience with MediTech Expanse or similar charting systems
• Ability to float between ICU, ED, and Med/Surg units
• Proficient in advanced critical care procedures: para/thoracentesis, intubation, central line and arterial line placement, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, ventilator care
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31)
• Two supervisor references from the last 18 months required

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care across ICU, ED, and Med/Surg units
• Float between main campus and sister facility as needed
• Perform advanced critical care procedures, including ventilator management, central and arterial line care, and rapid response participation
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; respond to emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services)
• Document care accurately using MediTech Expanse
• Maintain infection prevention standards and adhere to isolation precautions
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
