• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (Nights, Days, Weekends)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 72 hours, including modules

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia or compact state (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• BSN preferred
• Ability to provide 2 professional references
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Willingness to float within scope if needed

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products, cardiac drips (no titration), and manage central and peripheral lines
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and manage surgical drains
• Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more
• Participate in rapid response/code teams as needed
• Care for patients across age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics
• Adhere to hospital policies including natural nail policy and completion of required orientation modules
