Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active WA or Compact RN license (required for Washington nursing jobs)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Experience with Epic charting system
- References from at least 2 supervisory roles within the last 3 years
- Willingness to float to nearby sister facilities if needed
- Patient care experience across all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 10-bed ER
- Perform triage, assessment, and rapid response interventions for cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and trauma alerts
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and ventilated patients
- Administer blood products, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation
- Provide central line care, CPAP/BiPAP management, and arterial blood gas interpretation
- Maintain isolation precautions and ensure safe patient care practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Participate in orientation (40 hours) and complete required modules pre-start and annually
