ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/26/2026, End: 3/18/2026)
• Setting: Level I Trauma Center ICU
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (New York State or compact state, or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (Level I trauma center experience preferred)
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Ability to float to various ICU settings: neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Float as needed to multiple ICU units and provide clinical support for a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using Epic EMR
• Provide education and support to patients and families
