Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Unit: General Surgical (Med/Surg Telemetry)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (19:00-07:00)
• Shifts per Week: 3 (36 hours/week guaranteed)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/19/2026 – End: 4/19/2026)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs
• Parking: On-site available

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum); BSN preferred
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (18 months total RN experience preferred)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to postoperative general surgical patients
• Manage pain, mobility, and bedside procedures for Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech EMR
• Promote a comfortable and healing environment tailored to each patient’s unique needs
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Adhere to solid navy dress code and all facility policies
