Registered Nurse Job Details

- Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
- Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital

- End Date: April 21, 2026
- Duration: 13-week nursing contract
- Shift: 5x8-Hour Days (06:30 - 15:00), Monday–Friday
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: 8 days per contract, including a 3-day weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun)
- Floating: Required within surgical services and may assist other departments
- Scrub Color: Any color (OR scrubs provided)
- Charting: Epic EMR
- Parking: Free on-site
Operating Room RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience (critical access hospital experience preferred)
- Active Montana or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to circulate C-sections (required)
- Comprehensive experience in surgical services, following patients from pre-op to discharge
- Experience with General, Orthopedic, OB/GYN, ENT, Endoscopy, and Dental surgical procedures
- Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
- Prepared to float within the facility as needed
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care: pre-op, intra-op, and post-op (PACU, Endo, Circulator)
- Circulate and assist in a wide range of surgical procedures, including mandatory C-sections
- Monitor and assess patients throughout the surgical process to ensure safety and quality care
- Administer medications, blood products, and conscious sedation as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Float within surgical services and assist other hospital departments as required
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays
- Follow infection control, fire safety, and universal protocol procedures
