Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Contract
• Location: Bel Air, MD 21014 (Maryland nursing jobs)
• Setting: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Floating: Required within PACU specialty, sister units, and lower acuity areas

PACU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in ICU, Critical Care, or PACU nursing jobs
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact State
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Ability to float within scope of practice
• References: 2 professional references (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• CPI certification (The Calm Every Storm online version) may be required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Local candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the PACU to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Monitor and assess post-anesthesia patients, manage airways, and respond to emergencies
• Administer medications, blood products, and emergency interventions
• Perform and document patient assessments, vital signs, and recovery progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to sister units and lower acuity areas as needed
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic (preferred)
