Cardiac Telemetry RN Job Details
- Assignment Length: 8 weeks (January 26, 2026 – March 23, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
- Total Hours: 36 hours per week
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (16 beds, average census 16)
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Charting System: Epic (required)
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Floating: May float to other Cardiac Telemetry or similar units as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in Georgia or Compact State (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a telemetry nurse or cardiac unit
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
- Ability to interpret EKGs and manage telemetry monitoring
- Strong clinical skills in post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Must complete compliance and onboarding requirements promptly
Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Cardiac Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to arrhythmias, and provide post-MI care
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Utilize Epic for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Float to other telemetry or similar units as required
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
