Cardiac Telemetry RN Job Details

• Assignment Length: 8 weeks (January 26, 2026 – March 23, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (16 beds, average census 16)
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Charting System: Epic (required)
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating: May float to other Cardiac Telemetry or similar units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia or Compact State (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a telemetry nurse or cardiac unit
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage telemetry monitoring
• Strong clinical skills in post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete compliance and onboarding requirements promptly

Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to arrhythmias, and provide post-MI care
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Utilize Epic for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float to other telemetry or similar units as required
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
