• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501
• Facility Type: Emergency Room, Level II Trauma Center
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing

• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation Dates: 1/12 and 1/26 (every other Monday)
• Float Requirement: None

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in a similar size ED
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers required
• Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (or ATCN/ATLC), NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR highly preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible
• COVID/Flu vaccine declinations accepted with approved documentation

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in a busy ER
• Respond rapidly to trauma and critical care situations in a Level II trauma center
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate documentation and patient care coordination
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
