- Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501
- Facility Type: Emergency Room, Level II Trauma Center
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Orientation Dates: 1/12 and 1/26 (every other Monday)
- Float Requirement: None
Emergency Room RN Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in a similar size ED
- Previous travel nurse experience required
- Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers required
- Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (or ATCN/ATLC), NIH Stroke Scale
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR highly preferred
- All requested time off must be submitted with application
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible
- COVID/Flu vaccine declinations accepted with approved documentation
ER RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in a busy ER
- Respond rapidly to trauma and critical care situations in a Level II trauma center
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate documentation and patient care coordination
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
