• Location: Lillington, NC 27546 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel ER RN
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: After 2 call-offs per 13-week assignment, all contracted hours are guaranteed
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Floating: Required between both Harnett campuses as needed

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (North Carolina RN jobs)
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, NIHSS
• Ability to float between campuses within scope
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam for compliance
• Locals not accepted within 50 miles of main campus
• Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year

ER RN Responsibilities – Clinical Support

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department
• Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Perform advanced nursing skills: arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, emergency medication administration, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs, respond to drug overdoses and suicidal patients
• Start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and provide care for a wide range of emergency diagnoses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and more
• Float between like units and campuses as needed
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
