Travel RN Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Healthcare Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Nursing Shift: Night, 4x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Royal blue and white

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (required for North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry and LTAC experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification (AHA)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Proficient in central line care/management, complex wound care, infection prevention, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, IV drips (no titration), and ventilator weaning
• Comfortable with patient ratios of 4-5:1
• Ability to pass advanced EKG exam
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted

RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry LTAC environment
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
• Manage ventilator and tracheostomy patients, including ventilator liberation and decannulation
• Administer IV antibiotics and manage IV drips (no titration)
• Perform wound care and infection prevention procedures
• Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms; respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to similar nursing units as needed to support hospital operations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic
