- Assignment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Unit: Neuro Critical Care (NCC); may float to Medical Critical Care as needed
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period (Friday/Saturday nights)
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holiday blocks (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- Charting System: Cerner EMR (Cerner experience required)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro Critical Care preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee – Tennessee RN jobs (license in hand required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Stroke certification required
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system
- Ability to float within scope to support facility needs
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holiday blocks as outlined
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- First-time travel nurses not accepted
- Pending licenses not accepted
- Local candidates within a 25-mile radius not accepted
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in Neuro Critical Care and Medical Critical Care units
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, maintaining patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Accurately document patient care activities in Cerner EMR
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training modules
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Float to other critical care units as needed to support patient care
