Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Glen Burnie, Maryland 21061
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Unit: Med/Surg 5 South Telemetry
• Duration: 8 weeks (1/26/2026 – 3/23/2026)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (20:00 – 08:29); options for 36 or 48 hours/week
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Floating: Required within specialty, sister units, and lower acuity units
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Charting System: Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS (AHA only for BLS/ACLS)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Comfortable managing patient ratios of 4-5:1
• Ability to float to similar and lower acuity units as needed
• References: 2 satisfactory professional references (1 supervisor/manager, 1 charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and respond to rapid response/code teams
• Administer medications, manage IVs, perform phlebotomy, and wound care
• Care for patients with post-surgical, renal failure, substance withdrawal, and other diagnoses
• Utilize specialized equipment: chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services)
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Float to other hospital units within scope to support clinical operations
