Cardiac Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Bel Air, Maryland (21014) – Maryland nursing jobs
- Unit: 3ET Telemetry
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/26/2026 – End: 4/27/2026)
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Unit Size: 17 beds, average daily census 17
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
- Floating: Required within specialty, sister units, and lower acuity as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland or Compact State (must be active at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
- CPI certification (The Calm Every Storm online version accepted)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Provide 2 satisfactory professional references (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Comfortable with floating within scope of experience
- First-time travel nurses welcome!
Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and respond to dysrhythmias
- Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and provide chest tube care
- Perform pre- and post-cardiac cath care, start and maintain IVs, and manage oxygen therapy (including CPAP/BIPAP)
- Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to sister units and lower acuity areas as needed
- Document patient care accurately and timely
