Travel Nurse Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract
• Location: Prince Frederick, MD 20678 (Southern Maryland healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Medical Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele) – Level 3
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Floating: Required to other Med/Surg Telemetry units
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (4 years preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Maryland RN license accepted
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient care
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work weekend shifts and float to similar units as needed
• First-time travel nurses not accepted

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including postoperative, medical, and occasional pediatric cases
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry for diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more)
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in compliance with hospital standards
• Respond to rapid response and emergency situations as needed
• Float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as required
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols
