Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY RN license required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Proficient in a variety of surgical procedures: ortho-total joint, trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic cases

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, prioritizing patient safety and positive outcomes
• Assist with diverse surgical procedures including abdominal, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, GYN, and thoracic surgeries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in patient and staff safety protocols, infection control, and universal precautions
• Support patient and family education throughout the surgical process
