• Location: Honokaa, Hawaii (96727) – Ideal for nurses seeking Hawaii travel nursing jobs with access to natural wonders and a welcoming small-town atmosphere.
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: February 23, 2026
• End Date: June 8, 2026
• Duration: 15 weeks
• Shift: Variable – 8 or 12-hour shifts, scheduled for 80 hours per 2-week period. Includes one on-call shift per roster and at least one weekend off per roster.
• Hours per Week: Approximately 36
• On-Site Position

Qualifications – Emergency Room RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; must obtain Hawaii RN license prior to start date if not already licensed.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required.
• Strong IV skills and hands-on experience with Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations.
• Knowledge of core measures, National Patient Safety Goals, AIDET, and Press Ganey standards.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, NIHSS (all mandatory for ER nursing jobs).
• NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications preferred.
• Must arrive Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday.

Responsibilities – ER Registered Nurse

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in the Emergency Room.
• Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Operate Meditech EMR, Life Pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems.
• Respond to and manage Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations as part of the ER team.
• Comply with core measures, National Patient Safety Goals, and hospital policies.
• Deliver excellent patient and family communication and customer service.
• Float to other nursing units as needed, within clinical scope.
