Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Raleigh, NC 27609 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN
- Unit: Hematology/Oncology Infusion Center
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- End Date: March 30, 2026
- Duration: 9-week nursing contract
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (8:00am – 6:30pm)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend/On-Call: On-call required one Saturday per month (8:00am – 1:00pm)
- Orientation: Bi-weekly, 24 hours
- Scrubs: Royal Blue or Galaxy Blue
- Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology RN experience (oncology nursing jobs)
- Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (must be in hand)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Expertise in chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration (IV, IM, SQ, intravesicular)
- Proficiency in administering blood products, coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, and IV hydration
- Skilled in care and management of ports, PICC lines, and infusion pumps
- Patient and family education/support experience
- Ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values
- Flu vaccine compliance (no exemptions or declinations)
- One supervisory reference from the last year required
Oncology RN Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult oncology and hematology patients in an infusion center
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide timely interventions
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and home care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
- Float to other clinical units as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation (one Saturday per month)
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
