ICU RN Job Details

  • Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia 25401

  • Healthcare Setting: ICU (MICU/SICU/Neuro), 20-bed unit
  • Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am)
  • Hours: 36 hours per week, every other weekend, holiday rotations
  • Charting System: EPIC EMR
  • On-site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active RN license (West Virginia nursing license or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
  • Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Ability to work every other weekend and rotating holidays
  • Professional appearance (navy blue scrubs, natural hair color, tattoos covered as needed)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a 20-bed ICU
  • Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips, ventilators (Servo & Hamilton), and advanced therapies
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy staff
  • Respond to rapid responses and codes as needed
  • Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR
  • Support stepdown unit patient needs as required
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive healthcare environment
