- Location: South Bend, IN 46601 (Northern Indiana healthcare jobs)
- Unit: 10 South Medical Oncology (Oncology & Telemetry focus)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
- Start Date: January 19, 2026
- End Date: April 20, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required within intermediate care or lower acuity units
- Scrub Colors: Royal Blue top with White or Royal Blue bottoms
- Charting System: Cerner (preferred for healthcare jobs)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state (required for nursing jobs in Indiana)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry or strong MedSurg experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (pending accepted if obtained before start)
- Must pass medication and EKG test prior to start
- Experience with Cerner charting system required
- Ability to float to other clinical units as needed
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must live at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates for travel nurse jobs)
- First-time travel nurses welcome!
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry/oncology setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage telemetry equipment
- Administer medications, manage drips, and perform EKGs
- Care for patients with complex medical, oncology, and end-of-life diagnoses
- Perform central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care and management
- Utilize clinical skills including wound care, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
- Float to intermediate care or lower acuity units as required
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
