Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – 12 Hour Night Shifts in Albany, Georgia

Med/Surg RN Job Details

Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Georgia nursing jobs)
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Medical Surgical Unit (44 beds)
Contract Length: 17 weeks (Start: January 19, 2026 – End: May 18, 2026)
Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Required to all acute care and cardio units
Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
EMR System: Meditech (experience preferred)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
BLS (AHA) certification required
NIHSS certification required (AHA)
Experience with 1:5 or 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios
Willingness to float to other acute care units
Must comply with 75-mile radius rule from home address to facility

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Medical Surgical unit
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
Document and coordinate care using Meditech EMR
Supervise and delegate tasks to nurse aides and CNAs
Participate in unit orientation and ongoing clinical training
Float to other acute care units as needed
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
