Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Ketchum, Idaho 83340 (Idaho healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Perioperative Care – PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), Pre-op, Endoscopy
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8 or 10-hour day shifts (start times between 6-8am)
• Call: 5-6 call shifts per month (weeknight and weekend rotation, 30-minute response time required)
• Charting: Epic EMR
• Scrubs: Provided

PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PACU nursing experience (2 years preferred); inpatient nursing experience with 1 year PACU considered
• Experience with Phase 1 recovery and general surgical recovery
• Ability to read cardiac strips
• Must be able to take call and remain within 30 minutes of the hospital when on-call
• Open to first-time travel nurses
• Must research local housing and confirm commitment to assignment

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in PACU, pre-op, and endoscopy areas (Phase 1 and 2 recovery)
• Care for diverse surgical patients: orthopedic, general, gynecological, endoscopy, and pediatric cases
• Adhere to ASPAN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, CNAs, and anesthesia providers
• Participate in room turnover and daily unit chores
• Respond to scheduled call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Float between pre-op, PACU, and endoscopy areas as needed
• Complete clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Engage in thorough orientation with a preceptor for smooth onboarding
