Travel RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Burlington, VT 05401 (Vermont nursing jobs)
• Unit: M5/McClure 5 – Neurosurgical & Surgical
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: July 27, 2026
• Duration: 26 weeks (16-32 week assignments available)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling to meet unit and patient care needs
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for travel nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a large teaching facility
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS – must be completed prior to start)
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation)
• Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April
• Ability to work every other weekend and adapt to flexible scheduling
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required

RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care on a busy neurosurgical and surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and document care using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Respond to emergencies and deliver advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Participate in bi-weekly orientations and ongoing professional development
• Adapt to schedule changes and unit needs, including working every other weekend
