Registered Nurse Job Details – Salem, MA

• Location: Salem, MA 01970 (North Shore, Massachusetts)
• Unit: Level 2B Special Care Nursery (S-Birthplace - SCN)
• Healthcare Setting: 25-bed unit including Labor & Delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, 2 operating rooms, and 2 ANU rooms
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: February 1, 2026
• End Date: May 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience
• Proficiency in neonatal care and newborn nursing
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to newborns in a Level 2B Special Care Nursery
• Monitor, assess, and document infant status; administer medications and perform specialized neonatal procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate and support mothers and families with compassionate, evidence-based care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures to ensure a safe, nurturing environment
