Job Details – Pediatric ER RN Travel Assignment
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Pediatric
- Location: Dayton, Ohio (45404) – Ohio healthcare jobs
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
- Setting: Pediatric Emergency Department
- Start Date: January 19, 2026
- End Date: April 20, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: Night shift, 5x8-hour shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Float Expectations: May float to all ED sites (Main, Crisis Center at Mathile), inpatient units, South ED, and specialty pediatric units (Med/Surg, PICU, NICU, Transitional Care Unit)
- Scrub Color: Navy scrubs or navy/black scrub pants
Qualifications – Emergency Room RN
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric Emergency Department nursing experience required (2 years preferred)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact RN license
- Current CPR and PALS certifications
- Willingness to float to various pediatric and clinical units as needed
- At least one recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in pediatric nursing specialty
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Smoke-free healthcare facility and campus
Key Responsibilities – Pediatric ER RN
- Provide professional nursing care in accordance with American Nurses Association and Ohio Board of Nursing standards
- Conduct detailed assessments and deliver high-quality care to pediatric patients and their families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient health and family support
- Foster a patient- and family-centered care environment
- Serve as a change agent to meet evolving patient and department needs
- Float to other emergency department sites, inpatient units, and specialty pediatric units as required
- Care for 1-4 patients based on acuity and unit assignment
- Participate in Mental Health Crisis Center rotation as part of the ER RN team
