Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Large academic hospital (600+ beds)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: February 1, 2026
• End Date: May 3, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00-19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs Required
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic (Epic EMR experience required)
• Float Requirement: May be required to float to other units

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York State
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a large academic hospital (600+ beds)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Competency testing required within 24 hours of submission
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
• Travel nursing experience preferred

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered
• Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR
• Float to other hospital units as needed to support clinical staffing
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
