Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Auburn, WA 98001 (Seattle-Tacoma area)
- Healthcare Setting: Birth Center (20 beds: 12 Labor & Delivery, 8 Postpartum/Antepartum, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 ORs, 6-bed Level II NICU)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- End Date: April 25, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Scrubs: Teal scrubs provided
- EMR System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience, including at least 1 year in LDRP
- Active Washington State Registered Nurse license (or compact RN license)
- Current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications
- Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, including cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
- Experience in postpartum care, including transition to discharge for mother and newborn
- Ability to circulate C-sections (required); scrub experience preferred
- Proficient in baby catching/receiving, APGAR scoring, and breastfeeding support
- Multilingual skills (Russian/Spanish) a plus
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Perform cervical exams, manage antepartum and labor patients, assist with amnio infusions and epidurals
- Monitor fetal well-being, administer medications, and ensure safe labor progression
- Circulate and assist in C-section procedures; scrub as needed
- Receive and care for newborns, including APGAR scoring and initial assessments
- Support breastfeeding and educate families on postpartum care and newborn health
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Document all care in the EPIC EMR system
