Travel Nurse Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Healthcare Setting: Birth Center (20 beds: 12 Labor & Delivery, 8 postpartum/antepartum, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 ORs, 6-bed Level II NICU)
- Location: Auburn, Washington (98001)
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- End Date: April 25, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Scrubs: Teal scrubs provided
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience, including at least 1 year in LDRP
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
- Strong clinical skills in labor & delivery: cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, Pitocin administration
- Proficiency in postpartum care and transition to discharge for mothers and newborns
- Ability to circulate C-sections (required)
- Experience receiving newborns (baby catching/receiving required)
- Knowledge of APGAR scoring and breastfeeding support
- Scrub experience preferred
- Multilingual skills (Russian/Spanish) preferred
- First-time travel nurses are welcome!
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Perform cervical exams, manage antepartum and labor patients, assist with amnio infusions and epidurals
- Monitor fetal well-being and administer IVs and Pitocin
- Provide postpartum care and facilitate transition to discharge for mom and baby
- Circulate and assist in C-section procedures
- Receive and assess newborns, including APGAR scoring
- Support breastfeeding and educate new mothers
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced, supportive environment
