Unit: 5A Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Start Date: January 19, 2026
End Date: April 20, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Electronic Medical Record: EPIC EMR

RN Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
At least 1 completed travel nursing contract
Active Iowa Registered Nurse license
Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
Skills checklist completed within 1 year of application
1 supervisory reference required
Proof of taxable address (driver's license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality clinical care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to manage patient care plans
Monitor and interpret telemetry data; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Float within the same nursing discipline across local Sioux City campuses as needed
Document all care and interventions accurately in EPIC EMR
Participate in charge nurse and precepting duties as assigned
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare standards
